Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking a Deputy Manager to assist in overseeing daily operations, liaising with Japan-based stakeholders, and ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams and external partners.

This position requires business-level proficiency in Japanese as the role involves regular communication with Japanese-speaking clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Manager in daily operations, planning, and reporting
Coordinate with internal teams and external Japanese-speaking stakeholders
Draft and review documents, reports, and correspondence in English and Japanese
Monitor KPIs, identify process improvements, and implement changes
Lead and participate in operational projects to improve efficiency
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Requirements

Diploma / Degree in Business, Operations, or related field

Proficiency in Japanese at JLPT N2 level or higher, or equivalent, due to the nature of communicating with Japanese-speaking clients and customers

Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English

3–6 years’ experience in operations, coordination, or team leadership

Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

Organised, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Good to Have

Experience in service operations, logistics, immigration, or customer-facing environments

Familiarity with working with Japan market stakeholders
