Job Description

The position requires the candidate to conduct music lessons to pre-schoolers at EtonHouse centres. The ideal candidate would be a person who can also assume a role as a teacher.

• Work collaboratively with children, teachers and the community of EtonHouse to develop a , fun, educational music / movement activities and deepens the learning that is taking place through class initiated inquiries;
• Create a variety of opportunities for children to express themselves and make discoveries using the children songs, lyrics and movements related to the curriculum as well as performance theme music;
• Meet regularly with the class teachers and curriculum coordinator to discuss ideas and connections to the current inquiries;
• Maintain a high standard of teaching practice and professionalism;
• Undertake continued professional development and share the scope of Music Teacher with the school community;
• Document children’s learning making connections to the curriculum. For example; portfolio entries, newsletters, community display boards;
• Manage and develop pre-school resources and materials for Music programme
