Overview
Provides leadership and supervision to assure that all engineering projects are completed to meet customer requirements for a safe and quality workplace, service response and operational continuity. Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff according to project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist in capital equipment acquisition, installation and testing of equipment, commissioning of systems, and validation of process equipment.
- Establish project plans, document control, change control, risk management, validation, vendor interactions, process development, and project reporting.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality and R&D teams to implement process improvements.
- Establish and maintain engineering support and services (maintenance, modifications, design, renovation & facility improvements) to support operations and value stream goals.
- Ensure all engineering project work complies with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain open and complete communication with internal customers.
- Initiate engineering programs or plans to improve the operational environment and support business continuity.
- Participate in meetings to understand operational requirements and work with the team to resolve issues.
- Lead project management definition, planning and execution.
- Participate in or drive continuous improvement initiatives / activities.
- Safety and ISO14001 environmental accountability : ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally friendly workplace by following company rules and procedures; actively participate in prevention, hazard elimination and recycling initiatives.
- Safety and health accountability : comply with safety programs and training to ensure work tasks meet safety guidelines and SOPs.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Degree / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related qualifications.Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device and / or pharmaceutical industry.Experience in managing non-exempt staff.Knowledge and Skills
Strong leadership, results-oriented project management skills, ability to interact with internal customers at all levels and external suppliers, excellent written and verbal communication, ability to learn quickly and adapt to change within the team to meet changing customer requirements.Accountability
Safety, quality, service and time performance on facility operations and adherence to security procedures to contribute toward value stream and plant objectives.Ensure that assigned team members are developed individually as well as collectively.Work Details
