Job

Summary

We are seeking an experienced and

passionate Junior Artisanal Bakery Baker to join our team. The

ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of traditional and

modern baking techniques, a strong work ethic, and a dedication to

producing exceptional baked goods. This role involves leading

production, mentoring junior bakers, and ensuring the highest

standards of quality and consistency.

Key

Responsibilities

Baking &

Production

  • Prepare, mix, shape, proof, and

bake a variety of artisanal breads, pastries, and desserts using

traditional and innovative methods.

  • Follow and
  • refine recipes to maintain BakeHaus's high-quality

    standards.

  • Learn and manage fermentation
  • processes for sourdough, levains, and other naturally leavened

    products.

  • Operate and maintain bakery
  • equipment (mixers, ovens, proofers, etc.) safely and

    efficiently.

  • Monitor baking times and
  • temperatures to ensure product

    consistency.

    Quality Control &

    Innovation

  • Conduct regular quality checks on
  • ingredients and finished products.

  • Learn and
  • troubleshoot baking issues (e.g., underproofing, oven spring,

    scoring) and adjust techniques as needed.

    Collaborate with the Head Baker to develop new seasonal and

    signature products.

  • Learn and maintain strict
  • adherence to food safety and sanitation

    standards.

    Leadership &

    Training

  • Supervise and train junior bakers and
  • apprentices in proper techniques, efficiency, and

    craftsmanship.

  • Assist in scheduling and
  • delegating tasks to meet daily production

    goals.

  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and
  • disciplined work environment.

    Operations &

    Inventory

  • Assist in inventory management,
  • including ordering ingredients and supplies.

    Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient

    workspace.

  • Participate in waste reduction and
  • sustainability initiatives.

    Qualifications &

    Skills

  • Experience : Minimum 1+ years in an
  • artisanal bakery or high-volume scratch

    bakery.

  • Expertise : Mastery of sourdough,
  • laminated doughs, and European-style breads.

    Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of baker's percentages,

    fermentation, and baking science.

  • Physical
  • Stamina : Ability to lift 25kg, stand for long hours, and work

    shifts.

  • Creativity : Passion for developing new
  • recipes and improving techniques.

    Certifications : Food handler's permit required; formal baking / pastry

    training is a plus.
