Job Summary
The role of the Senior Technician / Property Officer is to provide maintenance and engineering support in the shopping mall.
Job Description
1. Maintenance & Operations
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on M&E systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, plumbing, fire protection).
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and service requests from tenants and mall operations.
- Monitor and operate Building Management Systems (BMS) and other control systems.
2. Safety & Compliance
Ensure all maintenance works comply with safety regulations and company standards.Support fire safety checks, emergency lighting tests, and other statutory inspections.Assist in incident response and troubleshooting during emergencies.3. Vendor & Contractor Support
Escort and supervise external contractors during maintenance works.Assist in verifying completed works and ensuring quality standards are met.4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, fault reports, and equipment logs.Report any irregularities or potential issues to the Facilities Manager.5. General Duties
Support mall operations during events, promotions, and peak periods.Carry out ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Facilities Management team.Key Qualification
NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in building / facilities maintenance, preferably in retail or commercial buildings.Basic knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.Excellent team player with a proactive attitude and strong sense of responsibility.Tell employers what skills you have
