Senior Solar AI / ML Engineer

Job Overview

The AI / ML Engineer will be responsible for developing image processing and data analysis pipeline that is central to our software solution. This role requires strong expertise in machine learning, image processing, and data integration to ensure the pipeline can autonomously detect and classify defects in photovoltaic systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and optimize a data pipeline that processes EL images.
• Develop and integrate algorithms for image correction, stitching, and exposure alignment to create system-level composite images.
• Build and train advanced machine learning models to autonomously detect various PV defects such as hotspots, microcracks.
• Execute the necessary data preparation & pre-processing, AI-model building, testing, validation and deployment to ensure a reliable and scalable AI solution
• Ensure seamless integration of processed data into the software platform for continuous model improvement.
• Performance Optimization : Analyze model performance across diverse PV system conditions (e.g., regional climate differences) and iterate for higher accuracy.
• Work closely with the project manager and hardware team (internal / external) to align the imaging system outputs with the AI processing requirements.
• Work closely with external vendor (Japanese engineers) with data integration and data processing pipeline.
