Job Description :
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to become part of our analytics team based in Singapore servicing the wider Asia region. The role will focus on assisting clients in understanding their exposure to risk and determining the optimal reinsurance arrangements in order to meet their risk, return and capital requirements. Our team consists of actuaries, catastrophe modellers, engineers, financial analysts and GIS experts. Responsibilities will involve interacting with analytics, brokers and clients throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
- Data auditing, formatting and compilation of insurance risk portfolios for the purpose of catastrophe management using a range of software platforms (MS Access, MS Excel, SQL)
- Catastrophe modelling analysis using internal and externally licensed catastrophe models.
- Catastrophe model results interpretation, testing and evaluation of models
- Application and communication of catastrophe modelling results for reinsurance design, pricing and placement
- Build and leverage relationships with relevant client staff to help identify information gaps, improve suboptimal processes and analyses
Role requirements / criteria :
3+ years’ experience in (re)insurance working in an analytical role focusing on catastrophe modelling / managementStrong experience in AIR, RMS and CoreLogic catastrophe modelling platforms, operating and interpretationStrong computer skills in MS Office suites (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)Experience in using Microsoft SQL preferredExperience in programming or scripting preferredStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the corporation and various business unitsTell employers what skills you have
