Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the operation and performance of the waste incineration plant and the wastewater treatment facility.
• Oversee and manage the storage of hazardous substances, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Operate and maintain incinerators and boilers, ensuring efficiency and adherence to environmental and safety guidelines.
• Apply strong knowledge of waste characterisation to optimise plant operations and ensure proper handling of diverse waste streams.
• Ensure regulatory compliance in managing toxic and hazardous waste, maintaining best practices in safety and environmental protection.
• Manage and monitor wastewater treatment processes, ensuring treated effluent meets statutory discharge standards.
• Contribute to carbon emissions reduction strategies by applying technical expertise to support sustainability goals.
• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance checks, and breakdown troubleshooting on electrical, electronic, and control systems to achieve maximum plant availability.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance, including major overhauls, to minimise downtime.
• Lead, guide, and supervise plant staff to carry out maintenance and operations safely, efficiently, and effectively.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and zero-incident protocols in all plant operations.
• Generate and submit weekly reports detailing incinerated waste records and operational status to management.
• Undertake special projects and any other duties as assigned to support operational excellence.
