Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Recognized professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent. At least 8 years of relevant working experience, with a strong foundation in finance and accounting operations. Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance manager, ideally in chemical distribution or manufacturing company with regional role. Experience working in multi-national companies Hands-on experience with SAP S / 4HANA, including system utilization for finance processes; experience in SAP implementation or upgrades is an advantage. Strong knowledge of Singapore statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated ability to prepare, review, and analyze management and statutory financial reports. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to mentor, develop, and lead a high-performing finance team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with the Group Finance Director, shareholders, and regional finance teams. Experience in acquisition or disposal of group entities / companies is an advantage. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the full spectrum of financial reporting and accounting operations
- Ensure the timely completion of management and statutory financial reporting,
- Oversee cash flow planning and handle all bank-related matters
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting exercises to ensure accurate and reliable financial projections
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, regulatory requirements and transfer pricing requirements.
- Work closely with the Group Finance Director and, when required, the shareholders.
- Overseas finance / accounting teams and work closely with regional to ensure consistency in reporting, group consolidation, and compliance
- Manage annual insurance renewals and oversee coverage for various risks
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as banks, auditors, tax consultants, and corporate secretarial agents
- Mentor and guide the finance team to enhance functional depth and reporting accuracy.
- Handle payrolls, administrative and IT matters
- Handle ad-hoc finance duties as required by the business
- Strengthening internal controls, accounting policies, and risk management processes.
