Job Summary

Mandatory skill set
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related Technology field;Having more than 8 years of experience in similar role with around 2 years of experience mentoring and coaching developers;Experience working on large-scale, high-availability software systems that operate reliably under heavy load;Must have strong technical expertise in full-stack web development - modern stacks, like Next.js / React.js and Java / TypeScript;Must have solid understanding of designing and operating high-availability, scalable software systems;Must have proven experience managing and leading engineering teams in delivering complex, large-scale software systems;Must have extensive experience working in Agile development environments and architecting enterprise-wide systems;Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of clearly conveying architectural concepts and policies;Must have a customer-focused mindset with strong leadership and interpersonal abilities;Must have the ability to guide a team to achieve important goals together.Desired skill set
Strong understanding of technical leadership, including essential soft skills beyond technical expertise;Exposure to large-scale digital transformation projects.Responsibilities
Shape and communicate the engineering vision and strategy for your team, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s broader goals;Collaborate closely with stakeholders and partners to prioritize initiatives and oversee the delivery roadmap for the product in a phased and effective manner;Create and continuously update a forward-looking technical roadmap to meet evolving product, business, and infrastructure demands;Regularly connect with engineers to discuss their progress, provide constructive feedback, and offer coaching and development support;Partner with cross-functional teams to define and implement strategies for quality, reliability, and security within your team;Identify opportunities to launch engineering projects that significantly enhance public impact;Promote a culture of excellence by introducing best practices and tools that boost engineering productivity and outcomes;Assist in hiring efforts, with a focus on securing experienced senior-level talentShould you be interested in this career opportunity, please send in your updated resume to apply@sciente.com at the earliest.
