Job Description & Requirements
The Pilates Studio Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations of the studio, ensuring a high-quality experience for clients and a supportive environment for instructors. This role encompasses managing studio facilities, overseeing the team of Pilates teachers, and driving studio growth and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
Studio Operations & Maintenance (40%)
Facility Management :
- Oversee the cleanliness, organisation, and aesthetic appeal of the studio space.
- Coordinate and manage all studio equipment maintenance and repairs (Pilates reformers, cadillacs, chairs, etc.).
- Manage inventory of studio supplies, including cleaning products, retail merchandise, and instructor materials.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
- Manage studio schedules for classes, private sessions, and special events.
- Manage and maintain studio operating procedures and timely updates to the SOP.
Client Experience :
Address client inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally. (Google Reviews)Ensure a welcoming and positive atmosphere for all clients.Oversee client scheduling, registration, and payment processing.Team Management & Development (60%)
Management of Instructors :
Manage a team of qualified Pilates instructors.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to instructors.Manage instructor schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all classes and sessions.Financial Management :
Assist in expense managementKPI Evaluation and Reporting :
Generate regular reports on studio performance, client feedback, and instructor effectiveness.Provide insights and recommendations to ownership or upper management.The Studio Manager's performance will be directly evaluated based on measurable results in the following areas :
Operational Excellence : Maintain high standards of studio operations and compliance with SOPs.Team Development : Ensure consistent instructor growth through training and feedback.Staff Engagement : Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.Client Experience : Maintain strong client satisfaction and retention levels.Facility Management : Ensure the studio remains well-maintained, safe, and aligned with brand standards.Qualifications :
Current, comprehensive Pilates certification (e.g., Polestar, BASI, Stott, Balanced Body, etc.) with a minimum of 1 years of teaching experience is a plus pointProven experience in a management or leadership role, preferably within a boutique fitness, wellness, or similar service environment.Demonstrated expertise in both teaching Pilates and managing business operations.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team of professionals.Proficiency in studio management software and basic office applications.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Ability to work flexible hours, including a combination of peak-time classes, evenings, and weekends, as needed.Tell employers what skills you have
