Position Overview

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all costs related to construction and engineering projects, ensuring financial efficiency while maintaining quality and compliance with contractual obligations. The role requires strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and effective coordination with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for engineering and construction projects.
  

• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare accurate contract documentation.
  

• Participate in tendering, bidding, and contract negotiation processes.
  

• Monitor project progress, cost variations, and cash flow to ensure budget compliance.
  

• Evaluate and certify contractor claims, variation orders, and interim payments.
  

• Prepare financial analysis reports and cost forecasting statements.
  

• Manage project cost control systems and recommend cost-saving measures.
  

• Handle settlement procedures and final account preparation.
  

• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, local construction regulations, and industry standards.
  

• Maintain effective coordination with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
  

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  

• 3–4 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or engineering projects.
  

• Sound knowledge of construction cost management and contract administration practices.
  

• Familiarity with steel structure and ironwork material quantity calculation.
  

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel (advanced formulas preferred).
  

• Strong understanding of budgeting, cost estimation, and financial reporting.
  

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
  

• Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor evaluation.
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  

• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  

• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
