This is a recently established food-focused organisation in Singapore, incorporated in September 2025, the business is currently in its early growth phase and is continuing to develop its operational systems and strengthen its presence within the local food sector.
Position Summary:
This role is part of the sanitation team in a fresh‑chilled meal production facility. You will be responsible for essential cleaning and sanitizing activities that support the highest standards of food hygiene and safety. As the first line of defense against cross‑contamination in a ready‑to‑eat environment, you’ll help maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ensure a clean, safe foundation for all production operations.
This is an entry‑level role with full training provided—an excellent starting point for a career in food manufacturing.
Working Location: Tai Seng, Singapore
Working Hours: Rotating 5 Days per week, normal office hours (7AM - 4PM / 8AM - 5PM / 9AM - 6PM / 10AM - 7PM)
Job Responsibilities:
Basic Cleaning Tasks
- Sweep and scrub floors in production, packaging, and storage areas
- Clean trench drains and floor sinks
- Empty and segregate waste; transport to designated disposal points
- Clean walls, ceilings, fixtures, and non‑production zones
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, locker rooms, and break areas; restock supplies
Equipment & Environmental Cleaning
- Clean exterior surfaces of equipment and non‑food-contact surfaces
- Wash carts, racks, pallets, and storage containers
- Maintain cleanliness in staging, receiving, and support areas
Chemical Safety
- Follow instructions for diluting and applying cleaning chemicals
- Store chemicals safely and report spills promptly
- Wear assigned PPE consistently and correctly
Food Safety & Compliance
- Follow strict hygiene rules and GMP requirements
- Use color‑coded tools correctly and follow “clean‑to‑dirty” workflow
- Report any food safety risks immediately (pests, damage, contamination risks)
Documentation & Communication
- Complete cleaning checklists and logs accurately
- Communicate task completion and issues to the supervisor
- Participate in all required safety and sanitation training
Job Requirements:
- Experience in cleaning, janitorial, or kitchen stewarding is a plus
- Able to follow simple written and verbal instructions
- Physically fit for cold, wet, and humid work environments
- Responsible, detail‑oriented, reliable, and a team player
- Basic understanding of chemical safety and slip hazards
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Environment: Cold (3–7°C), damp areas; wet floors; exposure to cleaning chemicals; occasional noise
- Shifts: May include evenings, nights, weekends, or early mornings, depending on production schedules
Training & Career Development:
- Training Provided: GMP, chemical safety, equipment handling, allergen awareness
- Career Growth: Opportunities to progress to Sanitation Technician, Equipment Specialist, or Team Lead; cross‑training into production roles available
