Lecturer (Veterinary Technology)
What you will be working on]
The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the development and delivering of Continuing Education and Training (CET) and Pre-Employment Training (PET) programmes in the areas of animal care, and veterinary technology
- Develop and conduct lectures, tutorials, and practicals in full-time and part-time courses
- Manage and perform day-to-day operations at TP Animal Clinic and Wellness (TPACW) on a rotating schedule (note : on-the-job training will be provided to new hires without clinical training with companion animals)
- Train and supervise student trainees at TPACW
- Conduct and facilitate student-industry collaboration projects
- Carry out administrative duties to support academic and clinic operations
- Able to work at least 1 evening / week for CET night classes during semester time
- Mentor students in character development and career readiness
- Provide pastoral care for students
What we are looking for]
Qualification in Biomedical Science / Life Sciences / Veterinary Technology / Veterinary Nursing or its equivalent from recognised institutionAt least 3-5 years of relevant industrial experience in a veterinary related industry (e.g. animal research facilities, animal clinics / hospitals)Have a passion for developing talents, and genuine interest to share knowledge and interact with youths and adult learnersKeen to be involved in applied research / industry projectsResourceful and able to work independently to meet deadlines and perform well under pressureStrong communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated capacity to work within a team
