Job Description

  • Evaluate current architecture and technology stack for systems, which includes system design and recommend architectural solutions to align with business goals, technical requirements and government policies;
  • Manage technology refresh and End-of-Service (EOS) product replacements, including planning, product exploration, recommendations and. implementations. The scope of technology management includes developing and maintaining technology roadmaps, as well as overseeing, providing guidance and supporting Authority’s appointed contractors throughout the delivery, setup, testing, and deployment phases;
  • Define technical standards, best practices, and guidelines for software development;
  • Conduct product and technology evaluation, including making recommendations;
  • Review existing architecture documentations to ensure all documentations are kept up to date. If required, to develop and maintain system architecture documentations;
  • Conduct knowledge sharing and training when necessary;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse project and architectural requirements;
  • Monitor system performance and scalability, making recommendations for improvements on a need-be basis; and
  • Architecting and solutioning for new systems, including designing high level system architecture and developing solution and recommending implementation approaches, ensuring alignment with the Authority’s objectives and Enterprise Architect (EA).
  • Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the overarching architecture for advance manufacturing systems, which involve creating virtual replicas of physical assets or processes for digital twin. Key responsibilities include integrating real-time data from IoT sensors, implementing AI / ML for predictive analytics, designing scalable cloud / edge infrastructures, developing simulation engines, and ensuring data security and system interoperability.

Job Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience as a Software Architect or equivalent position;
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent would be preferred;
  • Relevant recognition and / or certification of his / her competency as an Architect.
  • Strong knowledge of OT / IT system architecture, smart factory experience is a plus.
  • Track record of design and implementing large scale manufacturing systems.
  • Experience with on-premises, cloud or hybrid architecture for IT & OT system design and execution.
  • Experience and skills in the following would be advantageous :
  • Architecture System Design : Define and develop comprehensive, scalable architectures for digital twin platforms and associated models.
  • Data Integration : Establish robust data pipelines to collect, integrate, and process real-time data from physical assets via IoT sensors and other sources
  • Manufacturing platform with IoT and Data Engineering : Experience of manufacturing platform design and implementation with data integration, data streaming, and data pipelining.
  • AI / ML : experiences of machine learning and data science for analytics and optimization in industry project
  • Cloud and Edge Integration : Design cloud and edge computing strategies for real-time asset monitoring and data processing.
  • Manufacturing Simulation Software : PLM simulation project experience is a plus
  • Setup and implementation or technology refresh for system infrastructure such as server, network, storage, middleware, monitoring tools, etc.;
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity implementation, backup & recovery processes and high availability architectures; and
  • Cloud infrastructure and technology.
  • Knowledge on IT Governance frameworks such as ITIL, COBI
