Roles & Responsibilities
Based in Singapore, you will join a team working to expand Aurora’s electricity grid modelling capability across the Asia-Pacific region. You will lead on consulting engagements, quantitatively analysing energy markets and transmission systems, and convey insights to enhance clients’ decision making. You will play an active role in all aspects of client engagement : helping identify issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, and synthesising conclusions into recommendations.
The successful applicant will combine technical strength with a strong track record of leadership and performance in team-oriented environments.

The position suits a candidate with at least 2 years of experience, preferably in a technical role within the power sector, and with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline, such as Physics).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and modelling of high-voltage transmission systems across the APAC region, to enable better analysis of the energy transition
- Engage with clients across consulting engagements, performing power-flow analysis, developing timely and rigorous quantitative reports to enhance clients’ decision making
- Work closely with our modelling team, quantifying electrical engineering challenges and deriving insights from model results
- Contribute to our product development, by identifying new opportunities and expanding our capabilities
- Communicate findings to clients
What we are looking for
Required attributes :
At least 2-4 years of experience, ideally in a technical role within the power sectorFirst-class or high second-class degree from a top university in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline, such as Physics)Demonstrated success in taking responsibility for project and process management in team-oriented environmentsProven ability to collect, analyse and interpret complex quantitative data and informationAbility to communicate clearly and co-operate effectively with both technically and non-technically minded peopleSelf-starting, entrepreneurial mind-set, and desire to grow the businessDesirable attributes :
Previous experience of network / grid modelling, for example, with a transmission company, renewables developer, etc.Competence in advanced data analytics (e.g. Python, R, Matlab, Advanced Excel, GAMS)Leadership, project management or mentoring experience demonstrated by previous roles of professional responsibility or extracurricular activitiesExperience with power-flow modelling and interpreting single-line-diagrams (SLDs)What we offer
