We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Merchant Relations Officer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about supporting merchant operations and payment processes.

As a member of the Operations team, you will manage merchant onboarding, support ongoing account activities, oversee cross-border payment processing, drive process improvements, maintain operational documentation, and collaborate across teams to ensure excellent client service.

  • Manage the full merchant onboarding process, including account assessments, KYC verification, contract execution, stakeholder meetings, and technical system setup.
  • Provide continuous post-onboarding support, addressing merchant queries and resolving both ad hoc and recurring operational issues.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to ensure compliance, enhance operational efficiency, and drive sustained business performance.
  • Process cross-border payments with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payment-related issues to ensure smooth transaction flows and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and contribute to process improvements and workflow optimization.
  • Work closely with project teams and cross-functional departments to implement system enhancements and support operational initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive records and reports related to merchant activities and operational performance.
  • Draft, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all key operational processes.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, regulatory updates, and advancements in payment technologies.
  • Perform other administrative and operational tasks as needed to support the broader business functions.

Requirements :

  • 1–2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Capable of working independently while also collaborating well with cross-functional teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Prior experience or familiarity with payment platforms, API integration, or system integration is a plus
