Job descriptionDevelop and maintain up-to-date pre-commissioning and commissioning execution plans, including schedules and mobilization of personnel and equipment. Supervise the preparation of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures to ensure thoroughness and accuracy. Oversee the preparation of performance test procedures, ensuring they align with project specifications and industry standards. Assist the subcontract group in defining the scope of work for contractors, ensuring clarity and completeness. Manage the execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Prepare commissioning progress reports for project management and the commissioning department, highlighting key milestones and any issues encountered. Coordinate the involvement of vendor representatives, ensuring their support aligns with project needs. Develop, implement, and continuously improve standardized commissioning procedures to ensure consistency and high-quality delivery across all projects. Monitor commissioning progress and key performance indicators (KPIs) through centralized dashboards, providing clear visibility to stakeholders and enabling data-driven decisions. Lead technical reviews, troubleshooting efforts, and risk assessments throughout the commissioning phases, ensuring issues are proactively identified and resolved. Manage client-facing activities during testing, commissioning, and handover, ensuring clear communication, alignment on expectations, and client satisfaction. Guide and mentor junior team members, fostering their technical growth and supporting their career development. Conduct thorough audits of site readiness prior to the commencement of commissioning, ensuring all pre-requisites and safety standards are met. Champion the adoption of digital solutions to enhance commissioning efficiency, reporting accuracy, and documentation control. Ensure full compliance with safety standards and protocols during live system testing and all commissioning activities. Facilitate scope demarcation and interface discussions between various departments (e.g., engineering, projects, cost control and tender) to prevent scope gaps or overlaps and ensure smooth handovers. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Min of 8 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on data centers or similar facilities. Strong understanding of engineering principles, commissioning processes, and performance testing methodologies. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Willing to be stationed in Malaysia for 18 months, with monthly return trips to Singapore. Comprehensive and attractive overseas package provided.
