Job descriptionRespond to customer and agent enquiries, complaints, and requests. Manage carrier negotiations and booking arrangements. Monitor sailing schedules and track cargo status. Coordinate trucking, stuffing, and cargo handling. Prepare shipping documents for exports and imports, including FCL, LCL, cross-trade, and air freight. Assist with BL, COO, cargo insurance, PM4, SI, MSDS, and other shipment documentation. Track and coordinate shipments with carriers and clients. Handle customs clearance and permits as required. Send pre-alert shipping documents and invoices to customers. Work with accounts for carrier payments and verify vendor invoices against job numbers. Report cargo issues and follow up on resolutions. Support sales and operations activities as needed. Assist with job closing and billing processes. Perform general administrative and ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor.
