Job Description: Receptionist (Hostel – Multi-Role)
Role Overview
As a lean boutique hostel, we are looking for a hands-on Receptionist who is comfortable wearing multiple roles. This position goes beyond front desk duties and requires flexibility and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Front desk & guest services:
• Handling guest enquiries (in person, phone, messaging platforms)
• Managing guest helpline and responding promptly
• Morning check-ins and afternoon check-outs (from 3:00pm onwards)
Booking & operations:
• Managing bookings across platforms
• Allocating beds and rooms to bookings
• Updating booking systems accurately
Housekeeping support:
• Assisting with light housekeeping when required
• Changing linens and preparing beds during peak periods
General:
• Ensuring smooth daily operations
• Reporting issues or maintenance needs
• Contributing ideas to improve guest experience and reviews
Working Hours
• Generally 9:00am – 6:00pm
• 5 OR 6 days work week (including 1 day on weekend)
Requirements
• Prior experience in hospitality, front desk, or customer service preferred
• Comfortable using booking systems and digital tools
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willing to assist with housekeeping duties when required
• Responsible, adaptable, and team-oriented
