Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Food preparation and cooking : Prepare ingredients, including washing, chopping, and seasoning, and cook dishes according to recipes and health and safety standards.
  • Station management : Oversee and manage a specific kitchen station, which may include grill, fryer, or other cooking equipment.
  • Order management : Handle multiple orders simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to customers.
  • Quality control : Ensure food is cooked correctly, presented appealingly, and meets the establishment's standards.
  • Supervision : Guide and train junior cooks, and suggest areas for continuous improvement within their workstation.
  • Kitchen maintenance : Set up and clean workstations, wash dishes, and maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen.
  • Inventory and stock : Assist with inventory management and stocking ingredients.
  • Menu contribution : May recommend ideas for specials or seasonal dishes.
