Roles & Responsibilities

Electrical Engineer – Chemical Plant

Location : Jurong Island, Singapore (Company Transport Provided)
Salary : S$3,500 – S$4,500 / month (commensurate with experience)
Employment : Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 45 PM

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and manage the electrical equipment replacement schedule.

Perform root cause analyses for equipment failures and prepare reports.

Recommend and implement modifications to enhance performance and safety.

Oversee scheduled maintenance and respond to urgent electrical issues.

Improve SOPs to boost energy efficiency and reduce costs.

Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Manage preventive maintenance, including annual substation shutdowns.

Troubleshoot electrical issues, manage inventory, and support risk assessments.

Supervise contractors, review service proposals, and monitor execution.

Manage budgets and optimize material expenditure.

Evaluate vendor contracts and conduct audits.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements.

Requirements :

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a chemical plant environment.

Strong knowledge of chemical processes and ESH regulations.

Proficient in computer applications and data analysis.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Self-disciplined, resourceful, and strategic planner.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with electrical systems and preventive maintenance in chemical plants.

Skilled in contractor management and vendor performance evaluation.

Ability to lead cross-functional projects and improvement initiatives.
