Job descriptionProven experience as a Captain / Head Waiter or senior service staff in a restaurant, preferably in Taiwanese or Asian cuisine. Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards. Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented attitude. Leadership ability to supervise and motivate staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Basic knowledge of Mandarin will be an advantage to interact with native-speaking guests.
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description :
- Supervise and coordinate the service team to ensure efficient and courteous service to guests.
- Welcome and seat customers, present menus, and make recommendations on Taiwanese dishes and beverages.
- Ensure staff have thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and cultural background of Taiwanese cuisine.
- Take guest orders accurately, coordinate with kitchen staff, and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Monitor the dining floor to anticipate guest needs, resolve issues, and maintain a pleasant dining environment.
- Train, guide, and motivate service staff in customer service and restaurant procedures.
- Assist in managing reservations, table arrangements, and special requests.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards in the restaurant.
- Handle guest complaints or feedback professionally and escalate when necessary.
- Support restaurant manager in stock control, staff scheduling, and daily reports.
