Director of IT

Roles & Responsibilities

The Director of Information Technology will lead the strategic and operational development of the company’s IT infrastructure, driving scalable solutions to support rapid growth. This role requires a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on execution, including the implementation and administration of key platforms, migration to secure cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS), and customization of systems, such as document management systems, including coding when necessary. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a startup mindset, capable of balancing high-level strategy with hands-on technical work.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
• Assess and prioritize IT needs across growth, and scaling stages, ensuring cost-effective and secure solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to leadership and cross-functional teams to support business goals.
• Lead the implementation and customization of ERP, CRM modules to optimize business processes.
• Oversee selection, onboarding, configuration, and ongoing administrationof platforms.
• Ensure seamless integration and user adoption of platforms, providing training and support as needed.
• Plan and execute the migration of IT infrastructure to secure, scalable cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Design and maintain cloud architecture to ensurehigh availability, security, and performance.
• Implement best practices for data security, compliance, and disaster recovery in cloud environments.
• Lead the design and development of customized systems tailored to the startup’s needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define requirements and deliver user-friendly, scalable document management tools.
• Build and mentor a lean IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and consultants to support IT initiatives.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective procurement of IT tools and services.
• Ensure IT policies, procedures, and controls meet regulatory and audit requirements.
• Lead risk management efforts related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and business continuity.
