Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

Take part in production network and internet peering strategies
Verse with networking technologies relative to content delivery network, monitoring capacity and peering traffic.
Perform Day-to-day activities involve working on multiple vendor servers and various software and hardware issues
Work with multiple TAC vendors to fix the hardware issues
Handle traffic and any other queries raised by ISP / partners
Capable of driving the first level of Escalations reported by the team.
Capability to prepare both Technical and Process MOP and circulating with other Team Leads.
Support team in handling network and traffic peering for any Layer 1 to Layer 3 issues.
Capability to drive data insights and report them on and as required.
Participating in multiple meetings and providing weekly presentations related to Network Performance and Escalations.
Work with ISP / vendors on fixing any issues related to network
Jointly working with the Regional and Other region Team Leads.
Provide 24 / 7 support with other teams across the globe. Some weekend work may be required with weekdays off.
Other ad-hoc duties.

Requirements

Possesses Bachelor’s degree (B.S / B.A) and 7+ years’ related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Able to builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

Knowledge in network and traffic peering

Knowledge in fiber-optic technology including cable types, connector types, optic types, patch panels, and optical transport technologies will be advantages.

Able to prepare root cause analysis for any network and server outages.

Strong communication skills, including the ability to work with service providers, colocation facilities, and ISPs around the world

Knowledgeable about the different Network Protocols like OSPF / ISIS and BGP

Deep knowledge in DWDMs involving multiple vendors like Cienna, Infinera and Cisco NCS.

Knowledgeable on Layer 1-3 troubleshooting.

Possesses CCNP / JNCIP certification

Any expertise in the field of Optical is a plus.
