Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician assists in drug stock management,maintenance of premises and equipment, prescription processing, aswell as drug dispensing and distribution. He / She is responsible forassisting the pharmacy manager and / or pharmacist inthe provision ofpharmaceutical care. He / she interacts with patients and theirfamily, and other health care providers as appropriate to assurecontinuity ofservices and to achieve desired patient outcomesthrough safe, accurate andtimely distribution of pharmaceuticaldrug supplies. The pharmacy technician coordinates and performs asnecessary the activities of a pharmacy service area. He / shedispenses drugs under the general supervision ofpharmacists.
