Roles & Responsibilities
The Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) Engineer is a member of the Quality Assurance department, as well as the project team. He works closely with other departments to conduct investigation on product failures reported by Customers, in order to arrive at the root cause of failure and proposes corrective and preventive measures in order to improve product quality.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and analyse product failures on site
- Work with other engineers to determine the root cause of failure
- Engage customers to resolve FRACAS cases and other quality issues
- Lead and present in Failure Review Board meetings with internal staff and customer to resolve FRACAS cases
- Propose corrective and / or preventive actions
- Monitor implementation and effectiveness of corrective and / or preventive actions
- Ensure appropriate forms are filled in with all relevant information of the reported failure until closure.
- Maintain the database of FRACAS information
- Monitor closure rates of FRACAS as per KPI
- Conduct failure trend analysis
Requirements :
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.Preferably possesses at least 2 years of industrial experience in the quality assurance fieldExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishProficient in delivering presentations to a wide range of internal and external stakeholdersStrong analytical abilities, with proven teamwork and communication skillsCapable of preparing detailed reports and chartsHolding a Class 3 driving license is advantageousTell employers what skills you have
