high-speed, low-cost, ultra-reliable broadband to rural and

suburban areas of the Pacific and South East

governments and other service

providers.

Role

Summary

As a

Application Systems Programmer , you'll

will join a hybrid team of network and operations engineers

focusing on automating network

operations across Kacific's terrestrial and

satellite infrastructure. You'll develop tools, scripts, and

workflows to streamline the deployment, configuration, and

monitoring of our network-enabling faster, safer, and more

resilient service delivery.

This is an ideal

role for someone with a strong interest in both networking and

coding, who enjoys solving operational problems with scalable and

reusable solutions in a real-world, high-impact environment

supporting critical infrastructure across Asia

Pacific.

Key

Responsibilities

Network

Build & Implementation

Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement

automation for network provisioning and change

workflows.

Build and maintain internal tools

and scripts to support network deployment, configuration,

monitoring, and diagnostics.

Contribute to the

development and maintenance of infrastructure-as-code for

repeatable network

builds.

Operations

& Troubleshooting

Integrate with network management platforms and

controller APIs (e.g. Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, Fortinet, TP-Link,

Grandstream, and other cloud-managed systems).

Assist with building CI / CD-style automation pipelines for

network changes and compliance.

Maintain

configuration templates and version-controlled network

documentation (e.g. Git, NetBox).

Perform

Level 1-3 troubleshooting of network issues alongside senior

engineers, involving routing, switching, DNS / DHCP and / or VPNs and

incorporate findings from root cause investigations into subsequent

automated recovery

sequences.

Performance

& Monitoring

Administer the inhouse network management platforms and

systems to monitor bandwidth, latency, and packet loss and overall

service performance.

Assist in supporting

network deployments and service migrations in collaboration with

internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of networking technologies

relevant to Kacific's hybrid infrastructure (terrestrial +

satellite).

Automation

Write scripts and reusable modules (e.g. Python, Ansible,

Shell) to reduce manual effort and human error.

Leverage RESTful APIs to integrate with monitoring tools,

ticketing systems, and network controllers.

Analyse operational tasks and propose automation to

optimize troubleshooting, failover handling, or

alerting.
