Managing andpreparation of cost estimation and commercial proposal includingcontractual obligation require by tender process
Procurement and subcontract management for ongoingprojects. This involves selecting the right vendors, negotiatingfavourable terms, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials andservices.
Responsibilities :
Prepare and submit cost estimation based on tenderspecification for approval. This includes liaising with equipmentsuppliers and when necessary, work closely with Engineering DesignCentre / designers to ensure suppliers' scope of supply andspecifications for equipment fulfil requirements ofspecifications
Have a good overview andunderstanding of the business and be aware of the changes in themarket (such as that of the shipping environment, oil pricesaffecting offshore market or action by competitors) and ensuringchanges are made to company strategy to adapt to the changes in thebusiness environment.
Develop and executeprocurement strategies for product / solution with definedscope
Drive sales success with existing andnew clients throughout sales and execution process, including andnot limited to; identify client, develop solution, work withinternal stake holders to provide specification and commercialproposal, negotiate contract, manage client relationship, andensure positive and sticky strategic partner futureopportunities
Work with internal businessleaders to effectively report on marketing and business developmentactivities and communicate strategies, justify developmentexpenditure products / solutions, and ensure positive results ofprojects
Develop opportunity pipeline fordefined scope, and assist internal teams to effectively forecastsuccess
Identify and assist to implementcontinuous improvement strategies to maximise overall companysuccess
Requirements
Preferably a degree in Marine Engineering and NavalArchitecture
Experience in both Commercial andMarketing.
Preferably more than 6 years ofexperience in the marine industry with good network of customersworldwide.
Knowledge in commercial andmarketing relating to the marine industry
Becomfortable with self-sufficient travel in globally distributedlocations
An appreciation of developingconcepts / ideas into commercial products / solutions and executing arelated sales opportunity.
Self- motivated andability to manage multiple opportunities and projectsconcurrently
Critical attention to detail, andbe success driven
Outgoing personality and theability to articulate ideas clearly, communicate and marketconcepts and listen
High attention to personalpresentation and ability to converse in a professionalmanner
