Structural Engineer

The Role :

• Technical lead for Structural engineering, Architecture engineering, mechanical handling studies and 3D modelling in assignments. Ensure that activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Serves as prime interface with customer, authority, sub-contractors and site personnel, on all Structural, Architecture and Mechanical handling matters.
• Carry out Structural design and engineering for onshore and offshore E-house integration projects, including Structural analysis like in place, lifting, transportation, loadout, sea fastening, fatigue, weighing, blast, etc.
• Optimizing and detail design of E-House equipment layout taking into account safety studies, escape route and mechanical handling design.
• Good understanding of Architectural construction, fire rating design and requirements, Structural steel material properties, welding standards and construction details.
• Creates work plans for the portfolio of projects in consultation with respective Line Managers and ensures quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost.
• Ensure implementation of design to customer specification / international standards / regulations.
• Works with the customer to shape and deliver solutions and seeks customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements.
• Involves in Commercial and Technical evaluation for bid and Vendor procurement.
• Technical review / schedule follow up during detailed engineering, procurement and assembly of sub-vendor equipment.
• Collaborates on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, clarifying potential issues or providing solutions to correct engineering errors.
• Issue follow-up and closing up of deviation reports.
• Ensures the engineering deliverables are updated post installation & commissioning.
