Roles & Responsibilities
- Check on patients' histories for allergies or illnesses that would affect anesthesia.
- Evaluating and preparing patients, providing education about surgery and recovery, and discussing the side effects of anesthesia with them.
- Assess patient level of comfort and administer analgesic as ordered by the anaesthetist.
- Assist in preparing and administering the proper dose of anesthesia.
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and their dose of anesthesia during medical procedures.
- Overseeing patients' safety during anesthesia recovery.
- Evaluating patients' progress before, during, and after medical procedures.
- Performing some administrative duties, such as ordering anesthesia
- Collaborates and co-operates with other surgical team members and healthcare workers in the smooth delivery of patient care and services.
- Develops and implements nursing care based on analysis of individualized patient assessment.
- Communicates, documents, and evaluates patient’s plan of care.
Requirements
Valid SNB, BCLS & AED certificationsAt least Diploma in NursingAt least 2 years’ experience as AU nurseKindly understand that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
