Responsibilities
assess individual therapy needs of clients using appropriate
assessment tools and assessment forms.
Facilitate development of appropriate and effective tools for
identification, assessment, intervention.
Formulate and implement individual / group therapy programmes for
clients with speech and language disorder, social communication
difficulties, dyslexia, autism, ADHD, etc.
Provide intervention for clients on a one-to-one basis, group,
class, work experience or special setting based on the needs of the
students.
therapy needs and progress regularly, and review the effectiveness
of the intervention.
update clients' status to relevant staff members and
caregivers.
teaching / non-teaching staff and family / caregivers for the effective
enhancement of services.
report, case notes about the assessments that have been undertaken
and possible speech and language therapy
recommendations.
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Speech & Language Pathology / Speech Therapy
recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC),
Singapore
pathology experience or prior working experience in a special
education setting will be an added advantage
Knowledge and experience in working with children with special
needs and a wide range of disabilities.
Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced
work environment
interpersonal and organizational skills
