Architectural Drafter (Construction)
JOB DESCRIPTION :
- Assist in the monthly forecasts of project performance;
- Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
- Proposal and preparation of material samples;
- Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant;
- Proposing cost-effective solutions for the intended project;
- Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, crafts people and operatives;
- Prepare, Sketch and produce Autocad site drawings to achieve approval from clients;
- Surveying the site to assist in the drawings and production of setting out & levelling for installation purposes;
- Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations;
- Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect;
- Liaising with any consultants, PE Engineers subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project for necessary submissions;
- Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws;
- Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;
- Produce site cutting lists for procurement and fabrication purposes;
- Finalize as built drawings with quantity surveyors for final claim purposes;
- Preparing reports as required;
- Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
JOB REQUIREMENT :
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Civil EngineeringMinimum 1 year of relevant experience with LTA & SMRT projects or equivalentProficiency in AutoCAD and technical drawing preparationStrong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skillsTell employers what skills you have
