Role overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Investment Data Analyst to join our dynamic investment team, supporting our wealth management businesses in Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for data, a strong sense of curiosity, and a desire to support investment decision-making through clean, reliable, and insightful data. The role holder will ensure data integrity, streamline reporting and MI processes, and contribute to the development of analytical tools that enhance our investment capabilities.

Main Purpose of Job :

Support the Asia and Middle East (“AME”) Investment division by collecting, analyzing and interpreting investment-related data to support decision-making and monitoring of SJP AME Investment proposition.

Key Responsibilities of the Job :

Responsibilities of the role holder include (but are not limited to) :

  • Collect, cleanse, manage and validate large datasets related to fund flows, client analyses and investment portfolios from internal and external sources.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance attribution models to support investment decisions and performance tracking using tools such as Excel and Power BI.
  • Assist in the automation of data workflows, reporting processes and statement / report production, working closely with the internal and external data and automation teams.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all investment-related systems and databases, including monitoring data quality and identify and resolve discrepancies across different sources.
  • Present analytical findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Document data processes and maintain data dictionaries for internal use.
  • Organise and maintain documentation and project files.
  • Assist the wider Asia & Middle East Investment team on ad hoc projects.

Requirements of the Job :

  • Bachelor Degree’s holder in Data Science, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree or CFA enrolment is a plus.
  • Preferably 2+ years of experience in a data analyst or investment analyst role. On job training will be provided and candidates with less work experience demonstrating outstanding motivation and strong analytical skills will also be considered.
  • Highly motivated and detail oriented with the ability to present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Skilled at recognising data inconsistencies and independently developing practical solutions.
  • Manage schedules, deadlines, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Experience with Python or R is a plus.
  • Familiarity with financial databases and platforms (e.g., FE Analytics, Aladdin Explore, Morningstar Direct) is a plus.

    • Nature and Scope of Impact :

  • The role contributes strongly to the FUM in Asia by providing the support required to Senior management to drive the business and proposition.
  • At an organisational level, the role provides valuable inputs and support on the Asia proposition development, investment related & operational matters to staff, partners, and management teams.
