Responsibilities
- Risk Identification and Assessment : Identify potential risks that could impact the bank’s operations, reputation, or financial performance
- Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the likelihood and impact of identified risks
- Develop and maintain a risk register to document and track risks
- Control Implementation and Monitoring : Design and implement internal controls to mitigate identified risks; monitor the effectiveness of internal controls through regular reviews; ensure that controls are updated and improved based on changing risk environments and business needs
- Compliance and Regulatory Oversight : Ensure that the organization complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards; keep abreast of regulatory changes and advise the organization on compliance requirements
- Risk Mitigation and Response : Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks; coordinate with various departments to implement risk mitigation measures; lead the response to risk events, including crisis management and incident investigations
- Training and Awareness : Conduct training sessions to raise awareness of risk management and control practices; promote a risk-aware and proactive risk management culture within the team
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field6-8 years of experience in risk management, internal controls or compliance rolesStrong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and internal control frameworksExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong understanding of the regulations related to payments, credit cards and unsecured lendingStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively with all key stakeholdersWhat We Offer
