Skills & Requirements

Qualifications Required:

• Candidate must be/have either: Enrolled nurse (by Singapore Nursing Board); EMT certification (Singapore certificate or Singapore MOH relevant recognised EMT equivalent only), or; A recognized degree or diploma in physical therapy/athletic training/sports medicine.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) course
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation & Automated External Defibrillator (CPR & AED) course
• Standard First Aid (SFA) course
• Preferred World Rugby ICIR Medical Level 2 course
• Previous experiences of covering sport events are desirable.
• Ability to make independent medical judgments based on assessments and current standards of practice, identify needs and prioritise work appropriately to manage the delivery of the service.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Positive work attitude and initiative. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends where the need arises and is requested by the athletic trainer.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
