We are expanding our Singapore legal team and are seeking a Legal Associate to support a group of Singapore-qualified lawyers advising on sophisticated and cross-border financial services and FinTech matters. This role offers hands-on exposure to FinTech advisory, licensing, and regulatory work, including matters relating to derivatives broking, payments and financial markets activities. The Singapore team is part of a broader regional and global group of legal and compliance professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Legal Counsels on a wide range of FinTech, payments and financial services legal matters.
- Assist with licensing, regulatory advisory work, and contractual matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Work on legal and regulatory issues relating to derivatives broking, payments and financial markets.
- Draft, review, and analyse legal documentation, policies, and regulatory submissions.
- Conduct legal research and provide practical, solution-oriented support.
- Work collaboratively with legal, compliance, and business teams as part of a wider function.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Law from Singapore or other jurisdictions; bar qualification is a bonus.
- Early-career lawyers or paralegals with approximately 2-3 years’ experience in financial services, capital markets, or regulatory practices; fresh graduates will also be considered.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to play a supportive role within a wider team.
- Strong interest in FinTech, financial regulation, payments and derivatives.
- Good legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a law firm or in-house financial services team is an advantage.
