Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design of high-power electronics packaging and vacuum chamber assemblies
- Own design and documentation of machined, sheet metal, and injection-molded components
- Perform thermal, structural, and fluid-flow analysis using simulation and hand calculations
- Design and execute experiments to validate thermal performance, durability, and materials behavior
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Asia and the US to support new platform development
- Support manufacturing through supplier interaction, prototype builds, and re-work activities
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant mechanical design experience.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks or other 3D CAD modeling software.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ANSI Y14.5 standards.
- Experience in thermal analysis, including hand calculations and use of engineering simulation software (ANSYS preferred).
- Expertise in thermal instrumentation and experimental design validation.
- Programming or scripting experience in Python or MATLAB to support data acquisition and design simulation is preferred.
- Experience in anodization development for corrosive environments is preferred
