Roles & Responsibilities
Our client is a startup developing next-generation quantum sensors for exploration and navigation. These sensors measure gravity, acceleration, and rotation with up to 1000x greater precision than the current state of the art. Their technology is built on cold atom interferometry.
They are now seeking a Systems Engineer to lead the design and integration of a drone-based quantum gravimeter system.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of the full drone + quantum sensor system (payload, power, comms, ground control).
- Translate scientific & operational requirements into detailed engineering specifications.
- Drive hardware-software integration between the quantum payload and drone systems.
- Collaborate with physicists and engineers to design robust payload solutions (mounting, vibration isolation, thermal management, power).
- Work with drone manufacturers to optimize platforms for precision instruments.
- Develop data acquisition pipelines and contribute to control algorithms for stable flight and positioning.
