Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description :

As a member of AECOM's Procurement & Supply Chain Job Family Group (JFG) and leader in DCS' Procurement Operations organization, you will be embedded across all business lines as their primary point-of-contact for discipline related project requirements. You will own the end-to-end procurement project lifecycle focusing on procurement project planning & management, sourcing, prequalification, subcontracting, ordering goods & services, program / project risk management, subcontract administration, supplier relationship management, and supplier performance management.

You will build strong relationships with regional and business line leaders, advising on procurement strategies and ensuring compliance with company policies for the best commercial outcomes. This role requires adaptability, creativity, and a customer-service focus in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

  • Support projects through all phases : proposal, planning, execution, and closeout
  • Lead and execute procurement and contracting strategies
  • Effectively present procurement processes to stakeholders
  • Coordinate sourcing and contracting with stakeholders
  • Ensure procurement compliance and best commercial terms
  • Follow, reinforce and continuously improve Source-to-Pay policies, procedures, and processes
  • Act as a liaison between Business Units and Global Business Services (GBS)
  • Communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and make efficient supply management decisions
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with Business Unit and cross-functional leaders, continuously adding value
  • Lead and guide a team of procurement professionals in business unit, and nearshore / offshore service delivery centers

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive standardization in approach and maturity in procurement project delivery strategy
  • Develop and execute procurement and contracting strategies to ensure the procurement initiatives are implemented and strictly adhered to ensure value for AECOM and our clients
  • Present procurement and contracting processes, procedures, and activities to internal and external stakeholders in an effective manner
  • Implement Source-to-Pay (S2P) policies and procedures to improve service levels
  • Prepare and mange RFx events, competitive tenders, site-walks, commercial evaluations, contract awards, and maintenance for direct projects expenses (e.g., capital equipment, construction / engineering materials, subcontractors, and subconsultants)
  • Negotiate, prepare, execute, facilitate framework agreements, teaming agreements, and subcontracts
  • Communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, solve problems, and make efficient and effective supply management decisions
  • Assist in the preparation of client approval packages prior to award
  • Escalate best and final contract and insurance exceptions to Operations, Legal, and Risk Management
  • Maintain and provide accurate and effective documentation and records management in compliance with internal and external regulations
  • Support the resolution of supplier disputes
  • Challenge the business when pursuits, programs, or projects depart from basic procurement principles
  • Work on several projects simultaneously with ability to prioritize to ensure all deadlines are met and maximize impact and results
  • Support Sustainable Procurement by promoting decarbonization and social equity, diversity and inclusion in our supply chain and communities through partnerships with small and disadvantaged businesses
  • Manage and develop the performance of Regional Subcontract Administrators, and Specialists
  • Mentor and train as needed, identifying high-potential employees
  • Generate Net Service Revenue (NSR) for Procurement to offset labor costs whenever possible
  • Minimum Qualifications

    8+ years of related experience in engineering, procurement, quantity surveying and / or construction environments in a multi-location project-based industry, including 2 years of leadership experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Professional Supply Management (CPSM), or other relevant professional certification
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering, procurement, and construction within a multi-location, project-based industry
  • Confident in presenting to senior business leaders and external clients
  • Deep understanding of commercial and contracting terms, measures, concepts, principles, and strategies
  • Familiarity with Certificates of Insurance and various policy types and limits
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Proven success in fast-paced, growing environments requiring high flexibility
  • Open-minded self-starter with strong adaptability, improvisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Passionate about coaching peers in business processes and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to identify business process issues and drive improvements
