Development Manager (Smart Logistics Facilities Developer)
Our client is a leading regional developer specializing in sustainable, modern logistics properties built to the highest international standards. Their developments integrate advanced automation and robotics to deliver optimized logistics solutions tailored to today’s fast-evolving supply chain needs.
They are currently seeking a Development Manager to oversee the full design and construction lifecycle of a warehouse development project in Singapore — from early design stages through to project completion. This role is critical in ensuring successful project execution aligned with key goals, timelines, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Inception & Initiation
- Define project objectives, scope, and basic specifications in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines and budgets.
- Work with the Investment Team to produce a full feasibility study, including cost estimates, market analysis, and preliminary layouts in accordance with local regulations.
Planning & Design Development
Lead client consultant meetings, technical coordination meetings, and other project-related discussions.Drive the design process using design thinking principles while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to prepare submission drawings for authority approval and tendering.Apply value engineering strategies to enhance design efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Pre-Construction & Procurement
Ensure tender documentation aligns with the design brief, internal standards, and authority regulations.Support the contractor and supplier selection process through structured tender evaluation.Review and assess bids based on pricing, experience, technical capabilities, and compliance.Construction Phase
Resolve design-related issues that arise during construction and propose timely solutions.Conduct site inspections when required to ensure construction quality and adherence to specifications.Project Close-Out & Handover
Ensure deliverables meet tender and company standards at project completion.Coordinate a smooth handover to Facilities Management, including documentation and O&M materials.Conduct post-project evaluations and document lessons learned.Perform other related tasks as assigned.Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.Minimum 8 years of experience in real estate development or construction project management.Strong knowledge of Singapore’s building codes and authority submission processes.Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.Excellent command of English (spoken and written); Mandarin proficiency is an advantage to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.Willingness to travel between site and office when required.Location : CBD, Singapore
