Job Summary :
The Baker is responsible for preparing and producing a variety of baked goods including breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked items. The role requires knowledge of baking techniques, consistency in quality, and adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and bake a variety of items such as artisan breads, buns, pastries, cookies, cakes, and tarts
- Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards
- Measure and mix ingredients using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other kitchen equipment
- Monitor baking process and adjust oven temperatures / times as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, utensils, and equipment
- Ensure all baked goods meet quality, freshness, and presentation standards
- Assist in inventory management-monitor ingredients, place orders, and manage stock rotation
- Comply with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations
- Contribute to new product development or seasonal items, if required
- Work closely with kitchen and service teams for smooth daily operations
