Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets. Perform journal entries. Oversee the accurate and timely completion of monthly and yearly account closing.
  • Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Generate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Prepare GST returns and submission. Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS / SFRS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities. Assist with statutory filings, XBRL submissions, and year-end audits.
  • Assist with the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes in collaboration with business unit heads.
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails.
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor in Accounting or Finance. CPA, ACCA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in General Ledger / GL accounting role, preferably from a MNC environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of IFRS / SFRS and statutory compliance and XBRL.
  • English as work language and Mandarin Chinese is a Plus.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Singaporean citizenship or permanent resident.
