Job descriptionMaster’s degree in Counselling (or equivalent) with at least 7 years of experience in social service or a related field. Registered counsellor with a recognised professional body (e.g., SAC, SPS). Prior experience in providing case and clinical supervision.
Roles & Responsibilities
Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Counsellor to lead their Counselling & Therapy Service (CTS). The role involves providing professional counselling, mentoring junior staff, and driving outreach and strategic initiatives to strengthen the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the Counselling & Therapy Service (CTS), ensuring quality programme delivery and service growth.
- Provide counselling assessments and interventions (individual and group), with strong expertise in youth and trauma-related cases.
- Mentor and supervise junior counsellors, guiding them in casework and clinical practice.
- Initiate and support outreach efforts, while maintaining accurate case documentation.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, resilience, integrity, and a passion for serving youths.
- Able to work independently while being a collaborative team player, consistently striving for excellence.
