Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description :
You will report to the Head of Department (Languages) and your duties will include : -
- Preparing English lessons and Scheme of Work according to the required syllabuses
- Conducting learning activities in the classroom
- Setting and vetting examination papers
- Invigilating tests and examinations
- Marking assignments and examination scripts
- Assessing and recording students’ progress according to department and school policies
- Organising relevant events, competitions, activities when needed
- Providing pastoral care and manage students’ discipline; performing all aspects of Care Teacher duties if
assigned
Completing all administrative duties related to teaching EnglishMaintaining good communication with students, parents and colleaguesAttending Parent-Teacher-Meetings, average 3 times a yearJob Requirements :
Candidate must possess minimum a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and / or Literature from auniversity
A Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the National Institute of Education (NIE) is a plusAt least 3 years of relevant teaching experience in English Language in a school settingFamiliar with one or more of the following syllabi :1) Singapore Cambridge ‘O’ Level
2) International General Certificate of Secondary Education IGCSE (UK)
3) Western Australian Certificate of Education WACE (Australian High School)
4) International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)
