Our client is a chemical manufacturer that supplies chemical materials to their customers locally and overseas. The company started in Singapore in 2008. act as the regional hub for the company's business in APAC.

Job Description

- Conducting laboratory tests and analyzing in-process samples using specified instruments and equipment.
- Preparation of chemical reagents.
- Timely communication of analysis results to the Production Supervisor and Day QC team in the event of any abnormalities, ensuring swift remedial action if required.
- Conducting incoming inspection of chemicals (Methanol, NaOH, Azobis 2 4-dimethyl valeronitrile c catalyst, VAM Acetic Acid) and advises Supervisor of material acceptance.
- Conduct equipment daily validation ( Analytical balance standard weight check, ph meter calibration and buffer check, KF standardization) and run with control sample for equipment performance check.
- Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Carry out basic instrumentation and equipment functions and conduct maintenance, gas cylinder changeout and troubleshooting, where necessary.
- Highlight Maintenance request notifications need to Supervision and QC members.
- Assist in commissioning and de-commissioning of laboratory equipment.
- Assist in preparing lab equipment for maintenance and ensure equipment energy sources are isolated.
- Participate in emergency response drills.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe laboratory conditions as per 5S standard.
- Understand and comply with departmental Safety and Environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to the improvement of the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Programs.
- Carry out any other tasks as assigned by Supervisor or QC personnel.

Job Requirements

- NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Process Technology.

- Responsible, time management and able to work in fast-paced environment.

Compensation

- Location: Jurong Island
- Working hours: 12 hours rotation shift (8am - 8pm / 8pm - 8am)
- Company transportation: Pick-up staff near Jurong East MRT station
- AWS (1 month basic salary)
