The Opportunity & Risk Management System includes all processes, tools and organizational elements for both, Enterprise as well as Project Risk & Chance Management. He / she works closely with the Regional Area Leadership Team, Project Directors / Managers, Project Team Members, Operations and Finance Functions to produce key information and deliverables for decision making.
Job Responsibilities
Market-to-Contract
- Monitors and governs Business Area client opportunities
- Provides Risk & Chance Assessments during the PIRA / TERA / TFU process on Business Area level
- Organizes and hosts the Business Area Risk Committee
- Provides recommendations under which conditions to proceed
- Builds the interface to Corporate Project Opportunity & Risk Management
Initiate-to-Close
Independently assesses risks and chances relating to order intake / sales, projects under execution, and other related matters via analysis, identification, description, and evaluationRegularly interacts with project teams and performs independent (remote / on-site) reviews of projects covering the dimensions Technical, Execution & Schedule, Legal, Commercial / Finance, EHSManagement Processes
Ensures the Business Area operates within the defined “risk appetite” levels (i.e., the level of risk the organization is willing to accept) in line with the Group’s risk appetite frameworkProvides all required reports in time and good quality to enable report recipients to understand the most significant risks and ensures risks are mitigated as requiredFirst contact point for Senior Management for all project related questions and Corporate related initiatives or questionsAdditional Responsibilities
Provides support, education and training to all management levels and staff to help build risk awareness within the organization, and to promote understanding of risk management proceduresEnsures policies & procedures are adequately communicated and known to those who need to knowBuilds reliable relationships with management and project teams within the organization to foster information sharingSupports M&A projects within the Business AreaTakes over operational tasks on an as needed basis maintaining independencePrepares the Business Area Salesforce Opportunity ListControls processes such as making business continuity plans to limit risks and best prepare for uncertaintiesConducts audits of policies and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditorsFacilitates Risk & Chance Workshops to allow for a systematic risk assessment, as well as evaluation and definition of mitigation measures. Supervises ongoing monitoring of risks and defined mitigation measuresOther duties as assigned, in particular support of Corporate initiativesJob Requirements
Bachelors’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field required10+ years of Project Management experienceDeep Technical, Execution & Schedule, Legal, Commercial / Finance, EHS understanding within the E&C industrySynthesis capabilityStrong analytical skillsStrong communication skills, verbally and in writingFluent English language (good business level)Scheduling and PM Software is an advantagePrior experience as a Project Manager or Project Director requiredAutonomous, proactive & self-organizedTeam playerCapability to form an individual viewCapability to interact in a multicultural environment and on all management levelsCapability to diplomatically challenge the status-quoSeniority level
