Responsibilities
Corporate, General
Develop Corporate Technical Standards and Procedures for Topside Process
Develop Topside Engineering Workflow and Engineering Platform
Assist Topside Process Head of Discipline to manage corporate organization
Update and Maintain EPCI and O & M Phase Lesson Learnt database
Proposal / Pre-award Phase
Conduct Conceptual / Feasibility Study to propose the optimum & competitive technical solution.
Ensure all engineering documents are prepared and developed in accordance with relevant design code, standard and client's project specification.
Provide engineering expertise and support to form the optimum and competitive proposals
Ensure process and utility system are optimized, efficient, safe and environmentally compliant.
Provide engineering review and support for bid proposal including estimate of manhour and cost.
Feasibility Study / Pre-FEED / FEED / EPCI Phase
Take a Project Discipline Lead or Advisor role to manage projects
Become a focal point for Topside Process Discipline in Project Team and Communicate with Clients
Raise Technical Queries towards the client's project documents, Design basis to ensure all scope of works and design basis are clarified.
Manage interface with all relevant discipline to get necessary information for process engineering or to provide data to other discipline for their engineering
Manage Project Discipline Team (Topside Process) - manning and schedule control
Mentor junior or less-experienced process engineers
Attend project meeting internally and externally (with clients, third party, sub-contractor) and generate MOM
Report Area of Concerns, Progress and Plan to Project management team and Corporate Head of Discipline
Ensure Compliance with regulatory requirements
Develop Project Design Philosophies, Standards, Procedure
Conduct feasibility studies, Pre-FEED, FEED, FEED Verification (Inception of EPCI Phase) and EPCI phase Engineering (Detailed Engineering).
Develop PFD and process simulation and review the result, including heat and material balances (HYSYS, etc.) for the accuracy of calculation
Develop process calculations, studies and deliverables (Utility Consumption, Hydraulic Calculation, Line Sizing, Vessel Sizing, Process Data Sheets, Blowdown Study, P&ID, Safe Chart, Cause & Effect Diagram, Control Narrative etc.)
Participation in Various Workshop (RAM Study, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, 3D Model Review, Technical Safety Study Assumption Register etc.).
Provide Study Input data for RAM study and technical safety studies (FRA, ERA, QRA etc.) and review the study reports
Close out comment / punches / recommendation from HAZOP, Vendor HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, Design Review and etc.
Review Vendor Documents - Process Deliverables such as P&ID, Datasheet, Performance Curve etc.
Conduct contract process for 3rd party consultants - e.g. Process Dynamic Simulation, HTRI, Surge analysis etc., such as scope of work, requisition, contract, selection through technical evaluation of 3rd party
Manage 3rd Party work-scope and review / comment / approve of 3rd Party's output - e.g. Process Dynamic Simulation, HTRI, Surge analysis etc.
Supervise sub-contractor in view of design and deliverable quality and project schedule
Review sub-contractor's deliverables and Validate design and deliverable technical qualities
Implement Management of Change to ensure all design change to be incorporated in As-built.
Provide engineering support for construction, commissioning and operation team
Provide engineering expertise for decision making to resolve process related issue
Ensure as-built process deliverables such as PFD, P&IDs, Cause & Effects and datasheet etc.
Operation & Maintenance Phase
Support Operation and Maintenance Team
Conduct Troubleshooting and provide optimum technical solution
Conduct process engineering in facility modification, revamp studies
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor or Master's Degree in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering.
Minimum 15 - 20 years' experience in the offshore or onshore oil and gas industry.
Minimum consecutive 7 - 10 years' experience at top-tier FPSO contractor or Offshore / Onshore EPC contractor (minimum 7 - 10 years working experience in the same contractor).
Minimum 1 - 2 FPSO EPCI Project experience from the beginning of project (engineering) until the sail-away to site or delivery of FPSO.
Minimum 1 FPSO FEED / EPCI Project experience as a Project Lead - Topside Process including Topsides Process Conceptual / Feasibility Studies.
Hands-on Process Engineering experience in FPSO or Offshore EPCI projects, especially process simulation (steady state, dynamic), HB / MB, utility consumption, blowdown / flare-net studies, hydraulic calculation, line sizing, equipment sizing, control narrative, HAZOP or Technical Safety Action Close-out etc.
Hands-on Field Engineering in Construction phase or Onshore / Offshore commissioning experience is value-added.
The experience or familiarity with Zero carbon emission, CCUS technology etc. is value-added.
Versed with Process Engineering Tool such as Aspen HYSYS, Flare-net, Pipe-net or equivalent and ability to interpret result of process simulation.
Extensive knowledge of process engineering practices, principles, industry codes and standards - as well as an understanding of scientific methods of problem-solving.
Very strong leadership skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with strong attention to detail and accuracy to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work with and to communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors, clients and manage multiple priorities.
Fluent in English, with strong oral and written communication skills.
