As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.
The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of the research team, to work towards the goals set out for the projects of interest. The research engineer’s principal role will be to work on developing and evaluating the engineered bacteria for therapeutic functions, using Synthetic Biology tools.
Key Responsibilities :
i. Design, plan and conduct laboratory experiments, carry out data analyses, record the outcome of the experiments, and write up the results of own research as well as research progress with minimum supervision
ii. Communicate research outcomes through technical reports and presentations
iii. Assist in any other duties that are delegated by the Principal Investigator
