Lab Technician

Job Description

Our Client is one of Asia’s leading coatings manufacturers with a strong presence across the region. They are currently looking for a Lab Technician.

The Lab Technician supports colour matching, paint formulation, and sample preparation activities to meet customer and quality requirements. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, hands-on, and interested in starting a career in laboratory operations within the paints and coatings industry.

【Responsibilities】
- Collect and weigh paint base materials according to specified formulas.
- Tint paint using colorants and ensure accurate mixing.
- Operate shaking equipment to homogenize paint samples.
- Cast drawdowns for visual and spectrophotometer evaluation.
- Label and organize paint samples for sale submission.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the laboratory.
- Assist in data recording and reporting of test results.

  【Requirements & Preferences】
  
  (Must)
  - Minimum "O" Level / ITE Certificate or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Process Technology, or a related field.
  - Inexperienced candidates with a strong interest in laboratory operations within the paints and coatings industry are encouraged to apply!
  - Comfortable with manual tasks and standing for extended periods.
  - Willingness to learn color matching techniques and lab equipment operation.
  - Good communication skills in English

  - Prior experience in a laboratory will be added advantage
